Before Attending
'Is that Phil Parker?'
'Yes that's me'
'Here's a question for you, as far as I can see from the internet and the reports, The training course has been attended by people from the ages of about 10 to the mid 60's. Have you had anyone in their mid 70's?'
'Not that I can recall, but you are welcome to come!'
"I'd had CFS for about 4 years - a period during which I had 'existed' with ever increasing weariness, physical limitations, no social life, and lacking the joy and vigour of real living.
Following a visit to my home in Derby of Jennifer (with Paul) I learned of the revolution in her life following her attendance on the Lightning Process course in London.
Was there hope for me?
On the Training Course.
And so in June 2006 I arrived in London with great expectations.
Phil initially told the group that he personally couldn't cure them of CFS / ME but that the application of the principles of the Lightning Process could change their lives for the better.
By means of lectures, visual aids, group and personal participation, my limited life over that last 4 years has been radically, amazingly and speedily changed.
After the course
Five weeks after and I still have a sense of wonder and thankfulness when I find myself doing even the simplest of tasks, such as hanging out the washing, cleaning the house, shopping in town, gardening etc. Just to know that I can!
Holidays are planned and I have many ideas of things I would love, and am now able to do.
I am just so glad and grateful that I have had the opportunity of learning so much during this course which has changed my life, and regained the quality which I had lost.
My husband Ken says he has noticed:
o A new physical glow about his wife.
o A resumption of her participation in the normal household chores and gardening ! !
o Longer walks than previously possible so that he is often the one who is flaked out now!
o The TV can now be returned to a normal volume unlike previously when I couldn't stand the noise of even the BBC newsreaders
o A resumption of my being able to attend and participate in our church worship and praise (the young people can now play the drums etc. as loud as they like !)
There is a verse in the Bible about `forgetting the things that are past and going forwards'. That more or less summarises what I want to do - no more negatives -just to be positive.
Thank you very much, more that I can ever express"
