The Phil Parker Lightning Process

Jess' M.E. Recovery Story

"I was ill for a year and about 3 months with M.E. At first I started with headaches everyday, then after a month it developed into tiredness, aches and pains all over my body, terrible memory and confusion. At this point I left school.

Then I would sleep for hours and hour's everyday, then I began to settle my sleep patterns with rests throughout the day and timed bedtimes.

Before I saw Phil to do the lightning process, about 2 months before, it took me hours to get to sleep and id be so awake until around 2 or 3 in the morning and wake up around 8 or 9. I would feel mentally exhausted as well as physically, and the pain was horrible.

At the beginning of December 2005 I found out about Phil Parker's lightning process. I was really intrigued even though many people around me seemed to be sceptical.

Eventually I organised to see Phil, and I'm so glad I did.

After the first day I began to feel clearer minded, I wasn't in much pain at all, and I lasted through the day without feeling utterly exhausted. After the second session the next day I was doing really really well, I had no aches and pains, I was walking further than I had done in years, I was clearly doing a lot better. One thing that I still found difficult was getting to sleep, although I wasn't awake into the early hours like before, id still take a couple of hours to nod off. But Phil resolved this with me on the third day using the lighting process to adapt to this problem, and it really did help and I would take about half an hour to get to sleep which I feel is very normal.

The lightning process has been the best decision I've ever made in my life. It stopped me feeling fatigued, being in pain, giving me sleepless nights, and eased my depression.

Thank you so much Phil!"

Her dad, Jon, adds his experience which others may find useful, the commitment required:

"When we arrived at the course we fully aware of the commitment that Jessica would have to have after your training. (To be honest I arrived quite sceptical of what would be achieved). You left me in no doubt throughout the course what you were trying to achieve and how the success of the training was wholly dependable on Jessica's participation during and after. You may recall that we arrived on the third day with Jessica showing some symptoms of M.E. and, after talking it through, we realised she had skipped an important part of the process. Once this had been identified, her change was immediate. At that session you again reiterated that it was down to Jess to use the Lightning Process as instructed to continue with her recovery. You also said that if we required any further support you were available."

Her story since then:

To date, Jessica has continued to recover to the point that she is doing all the things a healthy 17 year old should be doing. She has joined a gym to get back her fitness levels. She is applying for work, going shopping, going to parties and is making plans for the future.

Two weeks later:

"Jess is still partying and shopping! I can't thank you enough. Had a special moment on Saturday morning when she returned after a party to say that the best part was staying up till 3 am chatting to her friend."

A month on:

"Jess has applied to do a media course at Poole College. She has a job now doing 22 hours a week and parties at least twice a week!!

We are so proud of her and extremely grateful to you for your help.

I was seething today after listening to the Jeremy Vine show on Radio 2 today. He has a regular slot for a Doctor to come on and give 'support' to any ailment people wish to raise. Today was M.E. I don't know if you heard it but the arrogance and ignorance about the Lightning Process was quite awful. They had a caller who had done LP with her daughter and despite claiming a normal life she was dismissed. I was so annoyed I have written and told them about Jess's experience

I will whole heartedly recommend the Lightning Process based solely on Jessica's successful recovery.

Once again, thank you for all you have done for Jess and the family."

My personal victory! Mum's, dad's and carers often watch the process unfold, and find themselves getting interesting side benefits...

"Just to let you know that I played that 7th hole (my nemesis) that we discussed last week and got my usual 6. However I got a birdie 3 yesterday! Having used the Lightning Process / a Jessica routine I felt totally focused on the job in hand. Even though niggling in the background I had the usual 6 ready to mark on my card I had no doubt in my mind that my second shot was going to the green. An odd feeling!! My handicap is 15 but having played 3 consecutive games now I have not shot more than 11 over."
