"It all started about 3 ½ years ago, after a chest infection I became ill.
The worst fatigue I could imagine, swollen glands, sore throats, strong aching pains, no sleep and poor digestion.
I was housebound for 4 months then started to get back to part-time work. This was hard work but gradually I started to feel a bit better. I loved my job and started to do more and more hours, more stress, even though I thought everything was under control it wasn't. I had lots of time off work through fatigue or was sent home due to illness.
In Dec 2004 my digestive system was so bad it had come to a halt which was very dangerous. I ended up in hospital for a week I was given medication but still felt terrible, and what made it worse is that the specialist didn't know what was causing it.
In Feb 2005 I gave up work as it was too much.
In July 2005 as I was planning my wedding for September my illness hit me really hard. In bed for a month with the most excruciating pains, I slept all day, up all night and lost a stone in weight, we thought we would have to cancel the wedding. Luckily I started to feel better.
My digestion was still very bad and I was on constant medication and under a specialist who told me in Jan 2006 that I would have to keep on medication or have an operation on my colon (this can be dangerous).
The next week I saw Phil Parker, while explaining the lightning process he mentioned digestion problems are one of the outcomes of the pattern my body was running.
The process brought 'light' to what had been happening to my body and how 'I' had the power to stop it!.
With my newfound 'power' I went shopping in London, where before I just couldn't be bothered. I had the energy to almost run round the shops and say "I want to go there, I want to do this" I felt alive, which was a good job as I had a lot of shopping bags and after shopping for hours we went back to the hotel got ready and went out for the evening."
One week later
"My digestion is back to normal. No more medication which is great. I have been to work and been out at night. I have been tired at night when I hit the pillow, which is great.
I have had days where before I could not cope, but now I just stop, think and make a plan.
I find it hard to stay inside as I am getting bored. I am putting lots of energy into my new business and planning my summer holiday. I've been arranging meals out with friends and deciding what I want to do on my birthday.
The other day I was bored, my hair had been taking me ages to get ready in the morning, and I don't have time for that anymore, I went into town and had my hair cut into a shorter trendy style. It looks fantastic. It's the new me."
