The Phil Parker Lightning Process® for Low Self Esteem

"Our own self-esteem has huge implications for our life paths. Our history of self-esteem begins as children, and follows us throughout our lives; it affects all our decisions - and, like a garden, needs constant tending." BBC Health

Welcome to this site which I hope will answer some of your questions about low self esteem and the Lightning Process (LP). Over the years I have worked with many people with self esteem issues and know how complicated finding solutions and answers can be. As you browse the site I am sure there will be some questions that you need answering by talking to a real person. Please use the 'Find a Practitioner' page to find your local practitioner who is there to support you as you find more about the LP and will be very happy to answer any questions you may have.

When we think about it we know that if a baby wants something in the middle of the night, they scream and yell for it until they get what they want. This suggests that we all started out with good self esteem, feeling we deserved the best, and if you don't have it now, you must have learnt something extra since you were born instead. The approach of the Lightning Process is to use this information to consider, if you learnt to have poor self esteem, then it seems reasonable that you can un-learn it too. Feedback suggests that 78.1% of people reported that they no longer had Low Self Esteem by day three of the LP course*. The tools of the Lightning Process are designed with this in mind to affect change to your behaviours, ways of thinking and hormone systems associated with low self esteem and stress.

Our Snapshot Feedback Survey has been designed as a tool to collect data from clients as to whether they feel they have gained any benefit from attending the Lightning Process course.  The results are therefore subjective.  Lightning Process practitioners are not medically trained and are therefore relying on client information about their diagnoses, symptoms and issues that they bring to the course.

The snapshot feedback survey is not a standardised, validated outcome measure; it is designed purely to inform us as to whether a client felt they gained benefit from attending the LP course.  We are currently undertaking a benchmarking exercise using standardised, validated outcome measures in collaboration with an independent research team in order to make any benchmarking statistics more robust.

Due to the nature of the Lightning Process training we cannot guarantee results as everyone is different, however we have received a considerable amount of positive feedback from clients with the varied symptoms that many people with low self esteem experience.
